For the past 22 years, B.A.B.E.S. has been a force for good in the Fox Valley area, diligently working to prevent abuse of our most vulnerable citizens, our children. B.A.B.E.S.’ no-cost respite childcare, counseling, parent education and academic enrichment programs have helped thousands of local families and their children to lead better lives. The ever progressive B.A.B.E.S. organization recently announced the launch of an impactful new program, the international initiative named Strengthening Families. This program, which will become an important support resource for Fox Valley families in need is being implemented this year.

April is a national month-long celebration and recognition of child abuse prevention initiatives throughout America. B.A.B.E.S. is celebrating this national observance with the kickoff of the Strengthening Families program. We invite all community residents to join in the first ever Movin’ & Groovin’ 5K Fun Run/Walk to show your support for child abuse prevention and to help raise funds to implement the Strengthening Families program. For individuals or businesses wishing to become an event sponsor, please contact execdir@babeshelp.org. A limited number of vendor booths are also available for businesses and non-profits.

The Movin’ & Groovin’ event opens on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton, with 7AM registration. The event is family friendly and appropriate for all levels of physical ability. To pre-register for the event, go to B.A.B.E.S., Inc. Facebook page or visit our website at babeshelp.org.
