DON’T MISS TOMORROW’S 2018 ENTERPRISING NONPROFITS EVENT IN GREEN BAY

Published Tuesday, May 15, 2018

You can still register at the door for Enterprising NONPROFITS – Northeast Wisconsin, presented by First Business Bank. Enterprising NONPROFITS – Northeast Wisconsin promises a full day of idea-packed sessions and rewarding networking, on Wednesday, May 16 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Green Bay. Now in its 5th year, this all-day, interactive conference allows for-profit and nonprofit business leaders, executive directors, business development directors, and volunteer coordinators to collaborate and share best practices.

Kicking off the day, keynote speaker Alonzo Kelly presents “Are We a Community of Trees or One Magnificent Forest?” A tree has branches and many leaves, and a forest similarly is composed of many trees with a rich diversity of leaves. A strong talent, financial, educational, and charitable root system is absolutely essential for the survival of the region. This theme will be carried throughout the day, including a hands-on activity closing out the day during the networking social hour.

After the keynote, morning breakout session topic choices include:

  • Ten Basic Principles of Nonprofit Boards
  • Seriously, Do I Have to Ask For Money?
  • It’s All About Culture
  • The New Language of Fundraising

After lunch, afternoon breakout sessions include:

  • Overcoming Compassion Fatigue
  • Continuous Improvement * Community Impact = Accelerate Community Outcomes
  • A Mission Without a Plan is Just a Dream
  • Financial Statements & Form 990: What Board Members Need to Know

The final afternoon panel discussion, moderated by Alonzo Kelly, focuses on continuous improvement within nonprofits to develop and promote efficiency. In this panel, three organizations share their personal experiences with problem-solving and continuous improvement tools to implement process change.

Registration at the door, which includes an entire day of programming, lunch, and a networking social hour, is $60. All proceeds from the event benefit the mission work of the Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin. Learn more at www.enterprisingnonprofits.org.
