Capital Credit Union Announces Election Results for Board of Directors

Members of the credit union voted for two fellow members to fill open seats

Capital Credit Union announced at their Annual Meeting at Liberty Hall in Kimberly on Wednesday, Feb. 7, Nancy Rietveld and Melanie Haen were re-elected to three-year terms. The nine-person Board of Directors is made up of member volunteers who are elected by their fellow members. As a member-owned financial cooperative, each credit union member is a shareholder and members 18 years of age or older can vote for Board positions.


Capital’s President Tom Young also reported that “2017 was one of the most successful years ever.” He shared that the credit union experienced great growth in loans, deposits, membership and income. Additional accomplishments include: the opening of a new location in Darboy, mergers with Green Bay Police Credit Union and Brown County Employees Credit Union, an all-time high reached in the number of employee hours spent volunteering, Capital employee participation in a 10-month Leadership Academy program started in conjunction with Fox Valley Technical College, and a strong year serving members with their commercial loan needs.
