Shipra Seefeldt, CEO of Strategic Solutions Consulting, headquartered in Appleton with client services throughout Wisconsin, was honored as a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute at the 2017 FFI Global Conference in Chicago, IL and achieved the additional designation ofAdvanced Certificate in Family Business Advising (ACFBA). Seefeldt was one of 12 people worldwide who were awarded their Fellow status in 2017. Of the more than 1800 worldwide FFI members, only about 200 have achieved Fellow status.
FFI Fellow status signifies that Seefeldt has completed an advanced program of study as part of the Family Firm Institute’s Global Education Network (GEN), presented at FFI annual conferences, and/or published in FFI publications, as well as being a distinguished member of FFI for more than 10 years. The Family Firm Institute, an international membership organization of over 1800 individuals and organizations across 80 countries, provides interdisciplinary education for family business and family wealth advisors, and it has conducted global research in the fields of family business and family wealth for more than 30 years.
The ACFBA certificate is presented to individuals who have achieved comprehensive professional knowledge and gained significant expertise that can be used as value to family business owners and family wealth clients. This distinction further ensures that the highest standards in professional best practices will be implemented, according to FFI. The GEN Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising is designed to increase awareness and exposure to concepts, skills and knowledge necessary to optimize effectiveness as family business advisors and consultants.
“Through obtaining Fellow status, Shipra has gained a deeper understanding of the needs of family-owned enterprises and the many roles family business and non-family members play,” said Judy Green, president of the Family Firm Institute. Participants have access to cutting-edge information and resources for exploring the core disciplines — behavioral science, finance, law, and management science — and steps for forming collaborative teams.”
