The nominations process for the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Awards are open now through February 23. Each year, the Chamber recognizes businesses and organizations in the Fox Cities that help make it a vibrant, innovative and dynamic community. The awards given are based on leadership, dedication and achievement.

Businesses will be recognized across five awards, including: Business of the Year, Rising Star, Company Innovation, Exemplary Marketing Performance, and Corporate Citizen/Corporate Leadership. Multiple categories may be applicable in each award. Nominations can be submitted online at http://bit.ly/2018bizawards. Recipients will be announced in April and recognized during this year’s Business Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 15 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel.

The Business of the Year award recognizes businesses for outstanding performance, growing and/or increasing jobs, increasing sales, overcoming adversity and community contributions. Last year’s recipients were McMAHON Associates, Inc. and CopperLeaf Boutique Hotel & Spa.

The Rising Star award recognizes relatively new “up and coming” small businesses with a unique blend of vision, energy, perseverance and skill. It is for ventures that have been in business less than five years and have had a strong start with the potential for growing into a prosperous enterprise in the future. Last year’s recipient was Inspire Spa.

The Company Innovation award acknowledges organizations that identify opportunities and execute creative-thinking and calculated risk-taking to bring innovation to the marketplace. Last year’s recipients were Miron Construction Co., Inc. and Make I.T. SOAR (an initiative of SOAR Fox Cities, Inc.).

The Exemplary Marketing Performance award recognizes organizations that have taken risks around their marketing and promotional practices that have ultimately improved revenue, communication, customer relationships, market share or visibility. Last year’s recipients were Verve, a Credit Union, and Appleton Ice, Inc.

The Corporate Citizen/Corporate Leadership award recognizes organizations with a philosophy of giving and community involvement that have made significant differences in the health and well-being of the Fox Cities. The award encourages and supports corporate social responsibility and community leadership. Last year’s recipients were Miller Electric Mfg. Co. and The Family-91.9 FM.

“We have a vibrant, innovative and dynamic business community here in the Fox Cities that continues to thrive and give back to the area. The 2018 Business Awards is an opportunity for us to recognize a few of those businesses for their successes and exemplary contributions to the Fox Cities region,” shared Bob Mundt, President/CEO of the Fox Cities Chamber.
