LARGEST NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE IS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28

Over 300 Volunteers Needed to Serve at Local Nonprofit Organizations on “Make a Difference Day”

Published Thursday, October 5, 2017

Whatever you’re gifted in, this is the day to give it away! The Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin is proud to announce local volunteer opportunities for Make a Difference Day, the largest national day of community service. This year, members of the community can choose from many different projects throughout the Fox Valley on Saturday, October 28.

Over 300 volunteers will be sought to complete much-needed projects with local nonprofit organizations. Some projects include:

  • Show survivors that they are not alone – help at the Harbor House Project Day
  • Seasonal preparation at Hearthstone Historic House Museum
  • Help keep seniors in their own homes by providing much needed yard work – raking, etc. during CHAIN Reaction Day with Outagamie County Volunteer Services
  • YMCA Freaky 5K Run/Walk
  • Help children have a fun and safe Halloween with Youth Go's Children's Day at the Haunted House
