License to Cruise
License to Cruise will take place on Friday, September 29 to kick off the 36th Annual Octoberfest celebration. This year’s event includes a special collection of classic Ford models that will be available for viewing at the Fox Cities P.A.C. in downtown Appleton.
Ford vehicles will be lined up from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. in front of the City Center Plaza. A special collection of custom Ford vehicles will be showcased throughout the Fox Cities P.A.C. This custom collection is free to the public and will be available for viewing during the License to Cruise event.
Come Early - the Festivities Begin at 9 a.m.
The day will begin with a traditional Spaten beer toast at the Houdini Plaza Stage just before 9 a.m. This ceremonial toast is an acknowledgement of the ritual Spaten keg beer tapping that takes place every year at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Members of the Fox Cities Chamber and the Octoberfest committee will tap the keg and the Newtonburg Oktoberfest Band will perform during the ceremony. Members of the public are encouraged to come early and join in the toast.
Following the Spaten toast, all six Octoberfest stages will have music starting music at 9 a.m.
