Bazaar After Dark Night Market Returns to Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton

Published Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Pulse Young Professionals Network, a program of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Fox Cities Regional Partnership, is thrilled to announce the fourth iteration of the popular Fox Cities night market, Bazaar After Dark. The event will occur on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 and return to where it all began on Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton. Bazaar After Dark is dedicated to revitalizing and drawing positive attention to underutilized business districts in the Fox Valley, while fostering community collaborations through art, music and common experiences. This year the event was aligned with all three of Habitat for Humanity’s Rock the Block Community Builds of 2017 and served as a celebration point for their volunteers.

In partnership with the Fox Valley Food Truck Rally, attendees can expect to enjoy a variety of food along with live art, local business participation, live music and the dog-welcoming atmosphere many have grown to appreciate at past Bazaar After Dark events. Interested Bazaar After Dark participants -  vendors, artists, sponsors and volunteers - can find more information and submit an online application (if applicable) at

“We can’t wait to return to the neighborhood that not only gave us a home for our very first night market, but provided the people that came out by the thousands to support it. Being able to highlight the spirit, growth and vitality of this sometimes overlooked business district is at the core of the mission of Bazaar After Dark.”

Bazaar After Dark (BAD) is an inclusive, family-friendly street market designed to illuminate the potential of a once underappreciated area of the Fox Cities by transforming it into a weird and wonderful temporary marketplace that will make you smile (and hopefully dance) under the dim glow of Edison bulbs. The BAD night markets held earlier this year, in April in Kaukauna and in July in Menasha, were both overwhelming successes with over 5,500 and 7,000 attendees respectively.

This event is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors; Fox Communities Credit Union, the City of Appleton, Urban Evolutions and many more. The third, and final, night market event of 2017 will occur on Wednesday, September 20 on Wisconsin Avenue, between Oneida and Drew Streets in Appleton from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.
