Fleet Feet Sports will kick off the upcoming holiday weekend and college football season with a Tailgate Party on Friday, September 1st, 5:00 - 7:30PM. In attendance will be members of the Grand Chute, Neenah, and other Police Departments for a unique running twist on tailgate gaming: introducing Beat the Heat!
In addition to your standard tailgate food and games, “Beat the Heat” is a chance to support local Police Departments raising money for the Run with the Cops 5K, an October 5th event benefiting our local Special Olympics chapter. Bring a small donation and play "Beat the Heat" to race against the radar gun! Results will be tracked on a leaderboard.
This event will also kick off Fleet Feet Sports’ Labor Day sales weekend and feature several of their favorite products, including new red long-sleeve Run. WI technical gear, in celebration of the start of the UW football season.
Date: Friday, September 1st, 2017
Time: 5:00 - 7:30PM (food served at 6:00PM)
Location: Fleet Feet Sports, 3404 W College Avenue, in Appleton
This event is free and open to the public. Plenty of parking is available. This event is a fundraiser, so donations are encouraged but not required.
After the tailgate, head next door to another local business, 'Zza Odyssey, for the 8:00PM kick-off of the Wisconsin Badgers Football Season. ‘Zza Odyssey will be offering drink and food specials to those participating in the Beat the Heat Tailgate.
