WOW – We Care Charity and Rise Together celebrated their partnership with a formal check presentation representing the support that WOW – We Care Charity has provided to the Rise Together organization since the start of 2017.
Rise Together is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering youth to stand up and speak out on issues such as suicide, bullying, mental illness, drugs, and alcohol.
“When we set out to look for an organization to support, we knew we didn’t want to just cut checks. We wanted to see that our support was making a difference,” said Tim Lisowe, President of WOW – We Care Charity, “The impact that Rise Together is having on today’s youth is nothing short of remarkable and we are honored to be partnered with such a vital organization.”
To date, WOW - We Care Charity has helped to fund numerous school presentations and other educational programs like the Rise & Grind Recovery Podcast. Along with an in-kind donation, these combined efforts have helped educate nearly 3,000 students before the end of the 2016-2017 school year. In addition, Rise Together has conducted a total of five educational presentations to WOW Logistics employees at various locations to teach them how to approach the topic of addiction and mental health with their loved ones."
"Helping to save the lives of our community’s youth can be a priority for everyone," said Anthony Alvarado, President & Co-founder of Rise Together, "Having WOW - We Care Charity step up to join the fight against addiction and support those with a mental illness has been lifesaving. Their passion to make a difference is what our local community needs. Together we can continue to help create a healthier and safer place for families and loved ones to live and grow up in. Our team couldn't be more thankful for their support of our prevention efforts."
Additionally, WOW – We Care Charity will be hosting its Second Annual Barnyard BBQ Bash fundraiser on October 6th, 2017, which will also benefit Rise Together. Follow WOW – We Care Charity on Facebook for details on how to register.
