Capital Credit union recently named Joel Williquette as their Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Williquette has 25 Years of leadership, strategic planning, information and cyber security, regulatory governance, operations, project management, and contract negotiations experience and has managed operations or projects in six countries. He was previously with the Bank of Luxemburg as their vice president of information technology, and then senior vice president of information security.
Williquette has a Master’s Degree in Management-Business as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He serves on the U.S. Federal Reserve-Secure Payments Task Force and is a member of the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce. Other affiliations include the Financial Services-Information Sharing and Analysis Center and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council. According to Capital President and CEO Tom Young, Williquette’s experience and expertise are a perfect fit for the credit union.
