The 8th Annual NMES Kitchen Tour, sponsored by Nicolet National Bank will be held on Thursday, April 27th, with tours from 10 am to 8 pm. This year four homes are located on Doty Island in Neenah and Menasha, and one home is located in close proximity. Each home will host a demonstration and/or tastings by local businesses and organizations, and feature unique décor or historical significance.

“This is a rare chance for the public to be invited into homes that are truly jewels of our community. And the ticket donation helps members of our community stay in their homes” explains Kitchen Tour committee member Dawn Brown. “There is something for everyone, from historical residences to amazing remodels…all with intriguing features, such as Zero-entry, custom-sculpted stone walls, meticulous landscaping, reclaimed wooden ceiling beams, upcycled décor. We have a home with an attic featured in recently filmed movie “Wraith”, one with a 365ft HO scale model railroad, a therapy swim pool and spa with 100″ electric glass fireplace with blue flames, and much, much more.

Each home will also feature raffle baskets with chances to win various items including a Google Home and gift certificates to local businesses and restaurants, as well as a giving tree to collect donations for specific needs. This year’s event is sponsored by Nicolet National Bank, with individual homes sponsored by TGC Constructions, LLC, Legacy Private Trust Company, First Weber Foundation, Di Renzo & Bomier, LLC and Bergstrom Automotive.

Kitchen Tour 2017 tickets are $20 and are available at, or at local businesses including: The Pastry Pixie, Scatter Joy, Caramel Crisp Café & Gift Shop, Cedar Ridge Crafts & Gifts, The Natural Boutique by Botanical Indulgence, Your Daily Grind, Red Door Mercantile, The Wreath Factory, Bill Paul Ltd., Zuppas, Fox Cities Racquet Club and all FNB Fox Cities locations.

Proceeds from the NMES Kitchen Tour go directly to helping those in need and in crisis in the Neenah and Menasha communities. NMES, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 1906. Each year, NMES provides more than $70,000 in assistance to residents of Neenah and Menasha. NMES takes requests for emergency financial assistance monthly, prepares and serves meals at Community Table, delivers Meals on Wheels every weekday, coordinates and hosts the Back to School Fair providing more than 1,100 students backpacks and school supplies, and provides shoes, boots, coats and snow pants as requested throughout the school year. This Kitchen Tour event is the society’s primary fundraiser.
