The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business Awards nominations are now open through March 16th. Each year, the Chamber recognizes businesses and organizations in the Fox Cities that help make it a vibrant, innovative and dynamic community. The awards given are based on leadership, dedication and achievement. There will be five award categories: Business of the Year, Rising Star, Company Innovation, Exemplary Marketing and/or Performance, and Corporate Citizen/Corporate Leadership. Nominations can be submitted online at http://bit.ly/2017BizAwards. Recipients will be announced during this year’s Business Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 3rd at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel.

The Rising Star award recognizes relatively new “up and coming” small businesses with a unique blend of vision, energy, perseverance and skill. It is for ventures that have been in business less than five years and have had a strong start with the potential for growing into a prosperous enterprise in the future. Last year’s recipient was Candeo Creative.
The Company Innovation award acknowledges organizations that identify opportunities and execute creative-thinking and calculated risk-taking to bring innovation to the marketplace. Last year’s recipients were BConnected and Crane Engineering.
The Exemplary Marketing and/or Performance award recognizes organizations that have taken risks around their marketing and promotional practices that have ultimately improved revenue, communication, customer relationships, market share or visibility. Last year’s recipients were A-mazing Events and Tundraland.
The Corporate Citizen/Corporate Leadership award recognizes organizations with a philosophy of giving and community involvement that have made significant differences in the health and well-being of the Fox Cities. The award encourages and supports corporate social responsibility and community leadership. Last year’s recipients were Northeast Wisconsin Old Glory Honor Flight and SECURA Insurance Companies.
“The Fox Cities is fortunate to have a vibrant economy with many thriving and community-minded businesses. This event is our opportunity to recognize a few of those businesses for innovation, exemplary marketing efforts and corporate citizenship. These successful and forward-thinking businesses help to make the Fox Cities region an even stronger community,” shared Dan Ferris, Chairman of the Fox Cities Chamber Board of Directors.
