When the area’s largest farm market moves indoors on November 5, it will offer benefits to help those in need.
Appleton Downtown Inc.’s Indoor Farm Market moves into City Center Plaza that Saturday, and continues indoors through May 27.
WIC/EBT/SNAP Cards are accepted at many vendors. Signs are posted at participating vendors. To better serve those in need, bonus EBT token days at the market will be offered every Saturday during November and December up to a maximum match of $10 each week.
More than $60,000 in fresh, locally sourced food has been purchased with WIC/EBT/ SNAP cards since 2011 when Downtown Appleton Farm Market started accepting the assistance cards at the market. Follow ADI on Facebook to find out about Bonus Matching Token days.
The market operates from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Vendors offer an array of items including fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, farm fresh eggs, breads and baked goods, locally sourced honey and syrup, specialty foods and handcrafted items suitable for individual consumption or gift giving.
