The area’s largest farm market will continue to take place outdoors each Saturday through October 29 before moving indoors for the winter and spring months, according to Anne Wiegman, Marketing Director for Appleton Downtown, Inc. (ADI).
“The Appleton Downtown Farm Market will continue to take place outdoors on College Avenue between Drew and Appleton Streets rain or shine through October 29,” says Wiegman. “For the finale, on October 29, we’ll have Trick-or-Treat throughout the Market, with vendors offering treats for little ghosts and goblins! Plus, there will be games and activities inside the barn doors in City Center across from Items of Interest.”
The outdoor Farm Market runs from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and features the wares of some 150 vendors. Per City of Appleton ordinance, no pets are allowed.
“Beginning Nov. 5, the Winter Farm Market moves inside the City Center, and it will continue indoors through May 27, 2017,” Wiegman adds. “The hours remain the same as past years, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
“The indoor Market will feature many favorite vendors as well as a few new additions, like Knottie Chic offering handmade holiday wreaths. With up to 50 vendors selling fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, breads and baked goods, popcorn, specialty foods and handcrafted items, it is the perfect stop for holiday parties and gifts.”
Weekly Special Features also continue to be offered throughout the year: First Saturday of the month: "Learning & Education" Second Saturday of the month: "Health & Wellness" Third Saturday of the month: "Kids Market" Last Saturday of the month: "Sample the Market" Follow Downtown Appleton Farm Market on Facebook for updates on Special Features. In addition, a special Holiday Gift Market will again be offered on the upper floors of City Center from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on December 17 in conjunction with the Avenue of Ice Festival.
