Fall fun seekers with a hankering for the flavors of artisan beers should put Saturday, October 22 on their calendars. This is the day Appleton Downtown, Inc. (ADI) and a lineup of Downtown establishments will serve up the first Downtown Appleton Craft Beer Walk from 2:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Participants can sign up and purchase tickets, priced at $20 per flight, at their favorite participating bar or restaurant in the Downtown. The ticket includes two 3 oz. tastings at eight locations. Brewery and distributor reps will be at each location to educate participants about the styles and attributes of the beers they’re representing.

Participating distributors include Lee Distributors, Wisconsin Distributors and General Beverage NE.

Attendees will receive a free commemorative pint glass, and event t-shirts will be available for purchase.

“Craft beers have gained tremendous popularity, and many Downtown Appleton estabhlishments prominently feature them on their beverage menus,” says Jennifer Stephany, ADI executive director. “Whether people have their favorites or they simply want to taste test and learn more about craft beers, this event is a great way to check out some of the best Wisconsin has to offer and learn from the experts.”
Attendees may stroll the Downtown at their own pace, Stephany says, and sip samples at the participating establishments of their choice in any order.
