Matthew Wilcox, most recently Senior Lender with BLC Community Bank in Little Chute, has joined WBD as a Vice President and Loan Officer. Matthew will serve clients in the Fox Valley and Northeastern portions of Wisconsin, allowing him to continue to build and nurture relationships in the areas he has served for a majority of his 20+ year banking career.
“I have always had a passion for helping small businesses succeed and understood the value of the 504 program, having worked with WBD on numerous projects over the years,” explained Wilcox. “I am excited to join WBD’s talented, mission focused team.”
Matthew’s addition to WBD, comes in response to a couple of changes taking place in the area. Long time WBD Vice President and Economic Development Officer Rich Diemer will retire this year, and
Jason Monnett’s promotion to Senior Lender will require him to spread his time across the entire WBD service area.
“Over the past year we have made a lot of changes, from rebranding to improving our internal processes all done specifically to help improve the customer experience. Having seen Matthew in action, it was clear that he shares our commitment to helping small businesses, understands SBA lending and is willing to go the extra mile to serve his clients,” explained Jason Monnett, WBD Senior Lender and longtime Fox Valley Loan Officer.
Matthew began his banking career in 1994 in Stevens Point, but he relocated to the Fox Valley in the late 1990’s spending a few years in Neenah/Menasha, before landing at BLC Community Bank (formerly the Bank of Little Chute) where he has spent the last 14 years as a lender, including the final 2 years as Senior Lender.
For more than 35 years, WBD has been helping small businesses get the money they need to grow and succeed. As one of the top Certified Development Companies in the country, WBD has a full range of resources to serve business lending needs from tens of thousands of dollars to ten million dollars.
