Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology re-certified for cancer care from largest oncology society in United States

Published Monday, September 19, 2016

Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology (FVHO), northeast Wisconsin’s cancer care specialists, has recently received reaccreditation by the QOPI Certification Program (QCPÔ), an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The three-year certification is earned by outpatient hematology-oncology practices that meet nationally recognized standards for quality cancer care.

“Since our founding, FVHO has strived to provide our patients with high quality, holistic and close-to-home cancer care,” Dr. William Guenther, founder and physician at FVHO, said.  “Earning this recertification from QCP emphasizes our continuous commitment to providing Northeastern Wisconsin with the highest quality cancer care.”

In its application for recertification, FVHO participated in a voluntary comprehensive site assessment against clearly specified standards that are consistent with national guidelines and was successful in meeting the standards and objectives of QCP. FVHO first achieved certification in September 2010.
