WHAT: 2016 Fox Cities Heart & Stroke Walk - American Heart Association celebrates the anniversary of its premier, community, fundraising event in the Fox Cities.
WHEN: Saturday, September 17, 2016
8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
(Registration begins at 8 a.m., the Walk begins at 9 a.m.) 1 and 3-mile routes available.
WHERE: Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium
AUDIENCE: Everyone – Heart disease and stroke survivors, their families, walk teams, and the public.
ADMISSION: Free – Open to the public (donations are encouraged).

WHY: Each year, hundreds of walkers organize teams to participate in the Fox Cities Heart & Stroke Walk to raise money for heart disease and stroke research. Throughout the event, participants will be engaged in inspiring stories of survivors and educational activities and screenings. The walk celebrates the American Heart Association’s goal to get Americans active to improve their overall heart health.
HISTORY: Last year’s Heart & Stroke Walk brought nearly 600 people to walked and raised over $68,000. In 2016, the association hopes to raise over $110,000 for research, public and professional education and outreach.

- CPR training by Gold Cross Ambulance
- ThedaStar helicopter
- Kids’ Zone
- Warm Ups led by Rhex Arboleda from Move to the Groove
- Mascot visits by Fang, Whiffer and Hearty
