The J.J. Keller Foundation is leading a blood drive incentive program to benefit The Community Blood Center (CBC) and, ultimately, those in need of live-saving blood throughout the Fox Cities community. In partnership with CBC, the J.J. Keller Foundation will support quarterly blood drives at J.J. Keller & Associates. For every J.J. Keller associate who donates blood, the foundation will give $5 to CBC.
“The J.J. Keller Foundation is pleased to support The Community Blood Center’s efforts in this unique way,” said J.J. Keller Foundation Executive Director Mary Harp-Jirschele. “Our mission is to fund organizations and programs that positively impact lives in the Fox Valley and that can be seen in the work of the blood center.”
The foundation’s first quarter blood drive was held March 1, 2016 at three J.J. Keller & Associates locations. A total of 106 associates presented to donate blood and as a result, the J.J. Keller Foundation donated a $515 grant to CBC. The next blood drive is scheduled for June 23, 2016.
“Partnerships with the area’s most influential organizations, such as J.J. Keller, help us fulfill our mission throughout the communities we serve,” shared CBC Vice President of Donor Services Kris Belanger. “We are extremely grateful to J.J. Keller for their long-term support and generosity.”
The J.J. Keller Foundation was formed by John J. “Jack” Keller in 1991 in celebration of his wife Ethel’s 70th birthday. The Keller legacy of giving has been passed on to their children and, over the past 25 years, nearly $50 million has been distributed by the family to local causes and concerns.
