Broderick Kenner, LPN, has been named Touchmark on West Prospect’s wellness nurse. Touchmark created the position to support the health and well-being of residents who live independently.

In his new position, Kenner offers basic nursing services, including blood pressure checks, short-term dressing changes, TED hose assistance and nail care. He also sets up medication management systems and coordinates doctor appointments, home health care or other health needs.

“I see my role as a wellness nurse to be a resource for residents to help them stay independent as long as possible,” he said.

Based in the wellness office on the first floor, Kenner also offers complimentary blood pressure clinics the first and third Mondays of each month as well as drop-in clinics twice a week in his office.

Kenner earned his LPN designation and license from Tennessee Technology and Columbia State Community College. He has worked in various home care, community and institutional settings. Prior to moving into his new position, he worked in Touchmark’s memory care neighborhoods.

Kenner and his wife, who is also a nurse, have four daughters. When not working or spending time with his family, he enjoys fishing.
