Appleton, WI.  OMNNI Associates was recognized for their role in providing construction administration for the STH 96, Fox River Bridge replacement project in Wrightstown, Wisconsin.  The project received the “Outstanding Highway Construction Award” in the Structure Category > $2,000,000 from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).  The award was presented to the WisDOT NE Region (owner), OMNNI Associates (construction engineering services), and Lunda Construction Company (prime contractor).

The award ceremony was held during the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association/Wisconsin Department of Transportation Contractor-Engineer Conference Awards Banquet at the Madison Marriott-West in Middleton, Wisconsin on January 28.

The award–winning project included replacement of the STH 96, Fox River Bridge with a new bridge constructed on a new alignment south of the existing bridge in Wrightstown, Wisconsin. The bridge construction included a 14-span, concrete girder bridge over the Fox River (7 spans), over CTH ZZ (1 span) and over land and an environmentally sensitive area on the east side of the river (6 spans).  Roundabouts were constructed at both approaches to the bridge.  Accommodations for bikes and pedestrians were included, as well as aesthetic features that complemented the surrounding community and its heritage.
