Business Retention

Efforts to keep existing Fox Cities businesses prosperous are centered in the Chamberšs Business Retention and Expansion Committee.

The Business Retention Committee works to influence the retention and expansion of Fox Cities firms through a company visitation program.  Through this effort, volunteers determine and respond to specific needs and concerns of selected area employers, to encourage them to remain, grow and expand in the Fox Cities area.

This committee also is responsible for overseeing the annual Fox Cities Manufacturer of the Year Award that is presented at the Chamberšs Annual Meeting in October.

In 2004, the committee conducted a benchmark survey of the Manufacturing sector of the local area to assess industry health, prospects for growth and expansion, and overall well-being.  Currently, the committee is carrying out personal calls on Service firms to conduct a similar survey of that sector.
